SOURCE: Horacio Gagglioli, one of Fabio Rochemback's agents, has confirmed that talks are ongoing with Sporting Lisbon about a possible move in the summer. The Brazilian international's current deal at The Riverside expires in the summer although Boro have an option to extend this by two years. Boro are yet to make their decision although the player has been strongly linked with a return to Brazil or Portugal - where he starred for Sporting. Sporting are amongst the clubs interested in landing him and Gagglioli admits he has talked with Sporting amongst others. "It is certain that I have spoken with the directors of Sporting but the subject is not closed," he told Abola. "Also interested in Fabio are other clubs from Spain and it is still necessary to know the offer from Boro, the player finishes his deal in June but the club has an option for a new deal in May." Sporting demands However, it is reported in Portugal that Sporting are baulking at Rochemback's current salary at Boro. But Gagglioli insisted: "The player is not disposed to have any reduction on this subject." Boro have already confirmed they are considering their position over Rochemback, earlier this month manager Gareth Southgate said. "The option is in our favour but there is no point in taking it if he doesn't want to be here. "At this moment in time he is very happy and settled, but we don't know what other options he might have in the summer as well. "We are conscious of both of those things really. "With Fabio we certainly have to deal with the situation before June but I'm pleased with the way he has been playing and again, I have to make decisions that have a long-term impact. "If we keep or don't keep somebody like Fabio, there is lots of spin-offs from that."
